After reading that the spa had been done up I booked this for my mother and two sisters,needless to say I would not go back.The Spa in general is tired and dirty , the tiles are dirty and old ,The robes provided had holes in 3 of the 4 given to us the whole place looks like it needs a good bleach and jet wash . The staff were all friendly and extremely helpful but the place in general is not upto standard.All in all none of the 4 of us would go back again.
The spa area lacked cleanliness and there was an extreme lack of hygiene. The treatment itself was good (back massage). Our room (27) was disgusting; full of damp and mould, with a big hole through the wall due to the damp. We complained immediately and were given another room which was refurbished to a good standard. Evening meal is not worth the price and the waiter lacked any kind of people skills so we thought it best to skip breakfast. Would not go back.
The Venue was lovely and we had a great day using the spa facilities but the massages themselves weren't great. I asked for firm pressure and it just felt like I was being rubbed down. The lady didn't apply much pressure and didn't work on any of my knots. The scalp massage might as well have been called a hair tickle. Shame really, because I was really excited for the day.
Place was filthy, staff (apart from the treatment girls) were unprofessional, not well presented, kept having to chase them to remind them things which made the experience more stressful that relaxing, the jacuzzi was broke the black mould around it was vile, the ladders into the pool coming off the wall, the beds looked like they hadnt been washed in 10 year like the whole place was a waste of my money no compensation or refund offered. Waste of time, petrol and hour I'll not get back.
