Loved the spa -treatment was relaxing and then outdoor pool watching the sun go down was brilliant! Food was great too.
Having to wait to be seated for breakfast at 9:30 am was a first and seemed unnecessary as there were free tables. Some improvements needed in our room - shabby wardrobe and a hole in the bathroom door spoiled the otherwise lovely surroundings.
Amazing venue, fabulous views, great spa. The only thing stopping me giving 5/5 across the board was ditzy hotel Reception staff. Overall the break was incredible value and the spa treatments and facilities were a real treat.
Great value, fantastic room (shower was fantastic!!) and food was lovely. Only minor point was that the spa area was slightly untidy as it hadn't been cleared when we arrived. There were no cups for water or tea either when going into spa room or in the room used after treatments.
Ideal for a short break and recharge the batteries. When the sun is out it is nice to walk along the beach, also the John Muir Way is a sign posted walk covering a good distance. Not anything in the way of entertainment in North Berwick, perhaps if the hotel arranged this a longer break would be worth considering. On the whole the two night break at the hotel was very relaxing.
Great spa, lovely treatments and friendly staff. The food was nice but nothing special. It cost's over £200 for a 1 night stay for two people and I feel that it is a little much for one night but the location is great and the rooms are nice, We had a room on the top floor and was moved by the lady at reception when she realised we smoked as it was pretty far to keep coming back down, our first room was tiny but nice, our second room was around 4 times the size of the first room and so much nicer!
