Staff at the reception were very friendly and helpful, although staff at the spa reception were very rude. Our massage appointment got changed without notifying us and the staff wasn't willing to do anything about it. The pictures of the Macdonald spa didn't match up to the hotel either, there were more pictures of hotels in other towns.
The hotel is nice and the views are amazing. Service at dinner was pretty bad and we waited a long time for our food. The spa is nice but we were scheduled to have our treatment at 11am and due to an error we had to wait until 1pm... I had a deep tissue massage and had asked for firm pressure but it wasn’t very firm at all.
Nice hotel and facilities, not really 5 star spa facilities but pretty close. Lovely restaurant with beautiful views.
Was a very nice visit- the location is beautiful and outdoor hydrotherapy glorious in the sunshine. Maybe a bit pricey considering it's not 5* but I would still go back.
