The spa and treatments that we received were lovely. Very accommodating to the fact i was heavily pregnant. We were disappointed with the afternoon tea. The cakes were not fresh.
We were really looking forward to our pampering day at The Mere !!! Assuming that it would be first class as you would expect from such a venue. The reception staff were quite short with us and at first we were told we were too early (although on the phone the girl said arrive an hour before your treatment time at 10) and to go and wait and in the bar area and get ourselves a drink. We asked someone else if we could take our drinks with us and were told no and as it was now 9.45 and our first treatment was at 10 were we sure we really had time for a drink!!! The waiting area was fine and the treatments themselves were excellent however when we returned to the relaxation area after our second treatment it hadn't been cleaned and there were still (WE HOPED) our drinks and used sorbet glasses on the tables !!!! When we went into the pool area is just looked unkempt with used glasses and tissues etc strewn around. There was an abandoned towel left on the floor. Very unsavoury !!!!Such a shame that housekeeping and front of house staff attitudes let you down. The staff in the bar area were lovely as were the actual therapists!! The lunch was really good too!!!

Rooms are modern and stylish.
The pool is a truly luxury experience, with heated loungers, steam room, sauna, hammam and showers.
Although I personal can not comment on all treatments/facilities the others in my group were very impressed. Very accommodating to the fact I was 37 weeks pregnant. Even though I couldn't use a lot if the facilities I had a very relaxing day.
Definitely recommend doing.
