Got a good deal through this web site for a one night break at the Mere golf Resort and spa. What a hotel! food was good, spa was amazing , room was really clean and comfortable. Would definitely go again.
A lovely treat for my daughters and I we had a very relaxing day. Great spa facilities, a lovely afternoon tea and facial/ swedish massage to finish the day!
Really relaxing day and lovely treatments. Me and my friend enjoyed it thoroughly!!!! the only thing I would say, the two course meal Which was part of the deal you could only get a main and dessert, so we ended up paying for a starter because we didn't like the sounds of the desserts. Other than that very nice day.
Overall the Mere was "ok".
The building and surroundings are great, no issues there. We arrived early and where granted access 30minutes before our official start time of 10am, which was a great bonus.
The main thing that let down our experience was a fault with the rasul mud treatment. Something along the lines of the steam machine had packed up.
We ended up sitting around for an hour, doing nothing but waiting for more info. A coupe of free drinks eased the process, but we were sat wet from the jacuzzi, so it wasn't comfy just sitting around.
After an hour we were taken to our next treatment and skipped the rasul.
Massages where great, no issues. Food was of a good standard, again no issues.
To compensate we have been given free access to the soa and the rasul on another day, which I can't grumble about at all, it's just a shame our romantics day was kind of spoilt a tad.
Would I go back to the mere...? Well yes I eould, with or without the free entry.
Lovely day, treatments and facilities excellent.
The only quibble was with lunch, the portion of mushroom risotto looked like a starter rather than a main and tasted quite bland.
