Originally built as a country escape for the Vavasour family, Wood Hall Hotel and Spa remains a place where today's pressures seem an age away. Ever since the house was completed in 1750, it has been a place of peace and relaxation. Even today, the house stands next door to a Carmellite monastery, home to a silent order of nuns. But Wood Hall is not simply about quiet contemplation.

From the moment you arrive, the house is yours to enjoy. Step into the Drawing Room and flick through the papers, kick off your shoes and curl up with a book, or try our signature afternoon tea.

At Wood Hall, relaxation and exhilaration come in equal measure. Select a treatment in the spa, recharge your mind and body in the steam room or work away any remaining stresses in the gym. You will soon be feeling revived and ready for anything.

Each one of our 44 bedrooms have been carefully designed to blend the classic with the contemporary. So alongside soft fabrics and original furniture we have added a few 21st century essentials such as flat screen televisions, DVD and CD players.

On a sunny day you can dine al fresco with a specially prepared hamper in the Italian Gardens, or perhaps you would prefer to indulge in our renowned 2 AA Rosette Georgian Restaurant.
