I had Hollywood sugaring done with Koko.
I usually wax but because I had a bad experience recently so I decided to give sugaring a try.
1. Venue - Located perfectly, very close to West Kensington station, downstairs from a hair salon. The place was quite clean but also beaten down.
2. Treatment - sugaring is for some reason more expensive than waxing (it is just sugar after all) however I did not fee l the benefit at all. Personally I found it more unpleasant than waxing with much more 'pulling' sensation which felt like some hair are being broken rather than taken out with the root. When I got home I had to go over the area with tweezers as some hairs were not picked up. It only has been a few days and I already can see patches of hair growing back (and growing in) which suggests they were just broken rather than pulled out. I also developed some minor bruising. All that never happen when I wax. What I enjoyed was the speed - Koko was very quick - and the real aloe vera jelly to soothe the skin after. Very nice touch.
3. Koko - lovely person, very warm and welcoming. You can tell she is very passionate about what she is doing. It is a shame I could not give her 5*, the sugaring just did not work for me and I will have to stick with waxing for now.
