First sugaring experience and I thought it was amazing! A month on and I have had barely any ingrown hairs which is very unusual for me. It is not a salon but coco's house is clean and she made me feel comfortable. Will definitely go back! Don't plan on using any other method than sugaring going forward.
I turned up, expecting a salon service, to a flat infused with the smell of cigarette smoke. To add, Koko was unaware that my appointment time had changed and so had not prepared the room at all - one presumes a change of time on the system is very evident when using Wahanda as an intermediary to gain access to clients. Treatment wise, I was told the sugar would work perfectly even two days after having last shaved. I left it a week, and I was seriously unhappy with the result, I had hairs everywhere still. I was off on holiday and constantly reassured "it's your first time, don't shave" - I regularly wax and this was a terrible finish. I was actually snapped at by Koko when I questioned the finish.
Finally, upon payment of £30 as advertised on Wahanda, Koko tried to charge me £40 and claimed Wahanda hadn't updated their system...
Very top quality sugaring in this place for extremely good value, and a wonderful sugarist! I think the dissonance in the reviews below may come from the fact that Koko works from home (she was in a salon for years and now has started her own business) which is really a bit tricky to find (it's the first white house on the left immediately after the doctor's surgery - even though it says "1" on the door, there is a door bell that says "1a"). But the service itself is absolutely top. Koko is very friendly, puts you at ease, and does extremely good, low pain sugaring. She ends the treatment with real (!) Aloe Vera directly from a plant. If you are not fuzzed by a fancy salon environment, but want good sugaring without spending a fortune and be treated warmly, this is a great place.
