It was my first sugaring session. Positives: Koko was very friendly and nice, using real Aloe after sugaring. At the time i thought that there was no hairs left behind and I was very happy with the money spent. However, when I left and got outside to the bright light, I have spotted a few big patches of untouched hair (about 1/4), was very disappointed. Plus some hairs i could see being broken and not pulled completely, which was not suppose to happen, as Koko was explaining that the benefits of sugaring is not breaking the hair when pulling it.
It was quite dark in the treatment room to inspect and properly see the hairs left behind. Also Koko did not make too much effort to look her self.
I don't know if i was just unlucky, because all the reviews on Wahanda were good.
First off, Koko was fantastic at putting me to ease regarding the whole experience, one I have never experienced before. She was very welcoming and very interesting to talk to which was a huge plus. She definitely knew her stuff and was happy to work for a long time to make sure all my hair was removed. Would definitely come back.
The sugaring worked very well at removing hair. I am not going to lie and say it was painless but the pain was bearable. One thing that perhaps should be noted is that for men, it would probably be best to clip any hair you want removed down to a much shorter length as most of the pain comes from the rubbing of the sugar on to the skin initially rather than the removal of the hair.
This is absolutely my favourite venue! They are all so lovely there and the sun bed is brilliant, they use dermalogica products and I highly recommend it to everybody . Definetly try the hand cream at the front reception , it smells lovely
Koko is a pro. She takes sugaring very seriously and she takes care of her clients well. She ALWAYS tries to fit you in her schedule (even at the last minute). Her passion for sugaring really makes me want to continue the sugaring process forever - until my coarse hair is forever gone!
For those of you who want strips because it's 'painless', that's not what Koko or the Sugar Bar is all about. The strips are for the non-authentic Sugarists. Those who use strips for sugaring are not trained to sugar, hence why Sugaring is not availabe everywhere.
