I was given a voucher by my sister through Wahanda for a pamper package which consisted of a facial, body wrap, pedicure, manicure and an eyebrow shape. I arrived and was shown in to have my waxing done to get the painful part over first. They lady who did the waxing was lovely very friendly and put me at ease. After she said she would meet me in the reception to choose colours for my nails. With that i was told a younger lady was going to show me the colours then showed me the room where a couch was set up against a wall with another couch in the room. She got me ready for my wrap and facial and said she would get some water and would be back. With cotton wool on my eyes I heard her come back into the room only to find once she started to do the treatment it was a completely different lady who was keen on asking me lots of questions instead of letting me relax. She would only partly explain what she was doing and would leave the room and then come back in without any warning which is very unnerving. Several times she came in and would start doing the treatment without evening letting me know. While wrapped up she started on my pedicure and manicure which consisted of a massage, file and polish, there was no cuticle work which I was in need of. When I finally left I checked my nails outside and my toe nails where not filed straight so the French polish didn’t look very good and the colour I had on my hands was shocking. You could see the first coat with the second coat only covering half my nail and she even managed to get vanish on my skin as she didn’t cut my cuticles. I did pick up the price list so I could check what I should have received and it was not a manicure I got. Being a therapist I then spend the night redoing my nails.
This was an amazing experience, from the minute we walked in till the moment we left we felt well looked after. The girls were all great!!!! We were a bit late because we couldnt find it as its a lil hidden and the parking was a squeeze but managed. we went for the timeout package which was fab!!!!!! felt very relaxed throughout and after. was amazing and even got a lovely cuppa after. would definetly recommend Martines a million times over and will be back once a month to get rid off stresses of being a mom and student!!!!!!
Great friendly and professional staff. The treatmennt was lovely and relaxing. Would recommend to friends and family to use this salon. Will be getting more vouchers and hopefully be back in there soon.
Fantastic salon really friendly staff. Have bought vouchers for other friends as gifts as it was truely a special treat to go there and be pampered. Would use this salon again and again.
value for money and staff very friendly not to sure that the spray tan did last long enough but really enjoyed the experience. loved having my nails done by someone else would of loved to have all the treatments on the same day though.
