I went for the Aromatherapy Massage a couple of weeks ago and I absolutely loved it. The venue is in Notting Hill, very close to Portobello Market and very easy to get to - just a couple of minutes' walk from Ladbroke Grove tube station. The lady doing the massage was slightly late but absolutely lovely. She was very empathetic and skilled. The massage was going on for 60 minutes and it left me feeling calm and relaxed, exactly what I had had in mind when booking the treatment.
I start with the bad to emphasise the good. Venue was not that relaxing. You enter through the Gravity Salon (which is separate from the Treatment Rooms), which is a bit of your bog-standard salon. Because of a Wahanda scheduling error (not the venue's fault) I had to wait for about 1/2 hour and actually almost left because of the loud dance music and not being offered a drink or anything the whole time I was waiting. However, I didn't leave. And I'm very very glad I stayed. Once in the treatment room, things get more tranquil. And my massage by Helena one of the best I've had in London. She used the right amount of pressure and was attentive to areas that I was having difficulty with. She also did 2 hours of deep pressure, which is no small feat, and she didn't flag even at the end. She recommended stretches at the end, too, which to me is always the sign of a good therapist. I will be back, for sure.
Helena is wonderful. The place is perfect, easy to find and very peaceful in the basement. I went for a relaxing one but quite like a firm massage - didn't communicate this with her so I'll give a deep tissue a go next time. I highly recommend it. For the value, even spot on.
