I found the spa a bit claustrophobic as it's down in the basement and has very dim lighting. I presume my therapist might have been a student as she was wearing a black tunic and pants as oppose to the other therapists who wore proper salon uniform with logo. However she was very good. She had to use her own phone to play some nice relaxing music for the session. The oil used for my massage smelt like olive oil rather than a nice aromatic essence, however at the end of my massage she actually used a lovely Orange smelling oil on my neck. I expected good quality massage oils to be used for the whole of the massage. She omitted to do my upper chest which I think is an important area as it gets wrinkled as we get older however worked thoroughly on other areas of the body and gave aftercare advice. I would've liked to have been given more time to just relax on the bed after the session had ended. She gave me a glass of cold water to flush out the toxins.
For the price I paid as a Groupon I was satisfied but I wouldn't have paid full price for this treatment.
It was handy having a free carpark to use which is at the rear of the hotel and difficult to locate from where I saw the hotel on the main road.
It was just what I needed and the staff were so lovely! It’s was sooooooo good, the best I’ve had for a long time and totally great value for money! Thank you Paula! I got home and booked again straight away.
