I was given this voucher as a birthday present, on the voucher it said '60 minute massage' when we arrived the staff confirmed that we were booked in for a pamper package which included a facial. I brought my sister along with me and when we have had facials in the past they have caused breakouts. We have also been going to a dermatologist and for the past 8 months we have been taking roacctune for acne therefore we asked the lady if we could swap the facial for an additional massage (which is already included in the package - scalp, hand, arm etc) however she was extremely argumentative and was very defensive about the products used she asked abruptly 'do you have a skin condition' and why we attended dermatology appointments, why we didn't put it down on the form or when we booked, said it is a cheap deal this is why we cant change the treatments. She eventually agreed to swap the facial for a scalp massage and hand however made the situation extremely uncomfortable, we were both in shock.
The room itself was cold, no music was playing and I know it is a cheap deal as we were told on a number of occasions by the lady but we wasn't handed a robe or slippers to get changed into. During the massage the staff spoke to us and whispered to each other, washed their hands twice which left breaks during the massage. Other members of staff walked into the room during the massage to get something - this happened twice. Nothing relaxing about it. The back massage itself I couldn't feel even though I asked for medium pressure.
The two girls were lovely however wasn't very professional.
Very disappointed.
The hotel was spotless, lovely friendly staff, masseuse were very inexperienced and at times massaged with one hand, also left long pauses doing nothing, both me and my friend were the same, nor did we get a full 60 mins. However Hayley the Manager was lovely and made us feel very special. Shame about the massage. It was not awful, just not very good and perhapd inexperienced staff..
