5 star treatment from Tanya! Urban Hotel in general needs to be updated and the spa is kind of hodgepodge - sign in at a small desk and wait next to the pool, which is very hot and chlorine smelling - then the treatment rooms are up a flight of stairs. But the actual room was very clean and recently decorated. Treatmean once again was fantastic. Wish the setting was a bit more serene though!
Lovely staff, especially Tanya, who went out of her way to give us a really lovely massage and was very helpful and pleasant. Afternoon tea was humble, good for the price and the scones were fresh. This place is hugely let down by the facilities though sadly... They are really, really outdated and the changing rooms remind me of high school... It all feels a bit mucky and in urgent need to modernisation. It could be a really lovely spa with a bit of investment. They already have great staff, just need to improve the quality of the venue. Can't beat this place for value for money, based on the quality of the massage alone, it's just sad that the facilities let it down so much!
