The treatments were absolutely fantastic, however the rest of the trip left a little to be desired. Dirty changing rooms, no staff on the desk to receive us, we were asked the same questions several times and the afternoon tea was shocking. Asked for hot chocolate and it was luke warm at best. The sandwiches were on stale bread and there was little choice for my dairy free partner.
We visited the spa as a Hen Party and had a fabulous time. The package we received was great value for money - afternoon tea, welcome drink, spa and a treatment. Unfortunately at the last minute one of our party was unable to attend and due to the short notice the spa couldn't refund the booking. However Tanya was brilliant, she offered the unused treatment to the Bride and offered us one more additional treatment to make up for the afternoon tea. The therapists were lovely and treatments were great, we all came out very relaxed. Afternoon tea was delicious, Chris (our waiter) kept checking in to much sure we had everything we needed.
Bit hit and miss with a couple of the staff - most super friendly and happy to help but a couple a bit more on the grumpy unhelpful side.
The spa was nice, water in the pool and hot tub was more. Could all do with a little updated, especially the changing rooms but it was still nice. Would be good to have more loungers, only 3 poolside and a bunch of chairs which was a little odd. The sauna and steam rooms were great. A relaxation room would have been a nice addition too.
Overall it was a brilliant experience and we would definitely go back.
Lovely first time experience at the urban spa. Tanya was very welcoming and made the treatment enjoyable.
