Amazing massage, just difficult to get through to book prior to arrival. Womens changing room smelled funny both days. But overall, great service and lovely hotel to stay in!
We had a great experience on Monday. Massage and lunch were both lovely. The only small thing was that the Jacuzzi was not easy to use was difficult to switch back on after it stopped. The sauna and steam room were lovely. The staff were lovely and very attentive. Thank you
Apart from The King's Head hotel not having parking (which wasn't mentioned or clear on their website) and there being major road works happening outside the hotel, we couldn't fault the actual hotel, the spa or the staff. Despite not having a car park the staff were very helpful in directing us to nearby (cheap) car parks. The only MAJOR problem we had was that TREATWELL didn't actually book us into The King's Head. Luckily I rang the hotel to book our spa treatments and was then told by the hotel staff that they had no booking in our name. Everything was quickly and easily rectified by again the fantastic staff that work at the hotel. However, if I hadn't rung would we have turned up and not had a room?
My advice? If you book through Treatwell, make sure you ring the place you are staying at directly to make sure it's all confirmed. The King's Head hotel is an absolute charm though and I would recommend anyone to go and visit. The spa is relaxing and away from any noise or distractions, the hotel food is superb and Cirencester is a fabulous place to visit.
