I mixed up my booking and went 24 hours earlier than I should have. The salon was very accommodating, and given that they had a spare slot, they were able to carry out the treatment whilst I was there, I really appreciated this. The therapist was very capable.
Just one thing to raise - before making this booking, I visited the salon to ask them about their waxing methods, specifically whether they double dipped or not. The You Clinic is one of two Lycon endorsed salons in Chiswick (the other being Simply Beauty of Chiswick), and having spoken to Lycon before as well, my understanding is that double dipping is a big no-no. I had a terrible experience from the Wellness Lounge, so I wanted to make sure this doesn't happen again. At the initial salon visit, the staff were very nice, and very professional, showed me their waxing room, waxes and how they NEVER double dip - or in the rare cases for legs, but "never" for an intimate wax. Based on this visit, I made a booking via Treatwell.
Unfortunately, this was not my experience on the day. My therapist double dipped for all the pubic bone area. When I pointed this out, she said she always double dip for the pubic bone area, arms, and legs, everywhere, stopping short only for the actual "parts". And she waxed accordingly true to her word - stopping just short of the most intimate parts to not double dip. To me, this is disappointing and defeats the purpose. It's better than double dipping for everywhere as was my previous experience elsewhere, but I am still disappointed because there shouldn't be any double dipping at all. I really wanted to have a good experience here, but I guess I will travel further and visit somewhere that I know really never double dips.
I had an express spray tan before going to America, and it turn out great! Yohana made sure she did it very evenly and I had no dark patches on my elbows, knees or heels! The staff were friendly and the place was extremely clean. I'd definitely go back there!
I've had two facial peels already and it really makes a difference to my skin. Ioanna is very knowledgable and describes each step of the procedure.
Highly recommended place!
