I am conflicted about how I feel about this place. For some reason, I just felt good there and the staff were really nice. However, I had to wait 25 minutes for my waxing and had it not been a rare day where I had some extra time, this would have really annoyed me. I was told it would be a 10 minute wait when I arrived. To their credit, they did offer me drinks twice and the coffee was lovely.
I was also asked repeatedly if I wanted a hollywood or a Brazilian (on the phone for confirmation and again in the salon). I didn't really understand why - I booked a Brazilian why would I suddenly change my mind? Only when I got into the room did the girl explain that a Brazilian in their studio is essentially just a bikini wax with a strip left (i.e. no lips or bum done). Well this is the first place I've heard that! I opted for the Hollywood with a strip left (so what I think is commonly known as a Brazilian...) and then had to pay an extra £8.
The waxing itself hurt a lot! More than I remember waxing hurting (granted it'd been a while but still!) and I'm not convinced it was the Lycan wax. When I mentioned this to the girl she said yeah yeah but I didn't see 2 options of wax there. Considering it's supposed to be more gentle, I really don't think it was! I will say though that the girl was very good at keeping conversation going throughout and was very nice so that made it a more bearable experience but it certainly wasn't pleasant at all.
I'm not sure if I'll go back here - it's very convenient for me and the prices are comparable but I didn't enjoy paying extra or the wait.
This was my second experience having a Hollywood Wax, and I have to say I was very happy, compared to the first time I had it. The lady was professional, quick and made me feel very comfortable.
Thank you and I will definitely will return.
