I booked half head highlights with finish. At the salon, they did the highlights, then a good cut and a great blow dry. But it turns out the cut was not included-- who knows what "finish" meant? Apparently it means blowdry. They charged me an additional £55 at the end. So all in I paid 108+55 or £163 for this service whereas their website list prices are £60 for hair cut and blowdry and £90 for highlights (they just did half head roots) so that would be £150. So thanks Wahanda + Salon for squeezing £13 out of me above list price for the services! I thought the quality of services were quite good but I feel I have been taken.
I went to Tomo for a haircut 2 months ago (for the first time), and yesterday I went back for a fringe trim. I was impressed that he remembered what we talked about 2 months ago, and he even noticed I changed my hair colour slightly! I love this salon, it's my favourite one in London! I will definitely go back!
I loved meeting Tomo. He is very warm and welcoming. I have never had anyone take the amount of care that he did with just a haircut...meaning, he really talked with me beforehand to make sure of what I wanted, plus, gave his honest opinions, then, took his time to get it perfect. My haircut is beautiful. Not choppy at all, which is what a lot of stylists like to do with longer layers. Plus, His scalp massage almost put me to sleep it was so relaxing! In sum, my haircut is exactly what I wanted- long layers and beautiful side swept bangs. He really is a great, patient and talented stylist. I will definitely be back, probably for some highlights!
Quite simply one of the best hair-related experiences I've ever had. The salon is small and perfectly formed, with beautiful, but unintimidating, design, and a really relaxed atmosphere. I usually feel a bit awkward making rushed small talk, but Tomo was incredibly friendly and easy to chat with, so I immediately felt totally comfortable with him. He is incredibly meticulous, too, and paid close attention to my hair type and the cut that would make the most of it - I've had uneven hair cuts at other salons, so I get a bit nervous about wonky, over-enthusiastic scissors, but I had no nerves with Tomo as his experience and talent shines through. He also gave me some amazing advice on how to keep my hair in better condition between appointments (with no scary, full-on sales tactics that you get at other salons). I absolutely love my shiny, swishy hair but I can't wait for it to grow again, so I can return for another cut!
The salon benefits from lots of natural lighting which is good for seeing the results in a natural setting. Staff was very nice and accommodating. The shy of tip top rating is because the stylist was 30 mins behind schedule perhaps due to their perfectionism. The treatment left my hair shiny and smooth and the head massage was relaxing. I went for a bob and really happy with the results.
