Gel manicure could have been a bit tidier, had to keep asking technician to clean up. Pedicure was good though and people that work here are very nice.
There were three critical problems with my experience: I received the wrong treatment, the polish was poorly applied and I was finally accused of skipping the bill even though I mentioned this twice.
1. Booked a luxury gel manicure + pedicure, which entailed a wax treatment, hot towel and massage. I arrived and told them I booked online, assuming they knew or would at least check.
I received the classic treatment for both hands and feet instead, which did not have the aforementioned features. That was £10 wasted.
2. The cuticle trim was fine but the file job wasn’t very well done. Paint job turned out incredibly messy and poor - I left the salon noticing gel polish on my skin and textured nails as if the previous coat didn’t dry before she put on the next? Since it’s gel, I would’ve liked it to be clean and unstreaked. This was unfortunately not the case.
3. Just before I finished, I told her I’d paid online. This is the second time I’m mentioning this and up till now the staff said nothing but “ok” so I assumed they understood.
Since I prepaid online and I told her I paid online, I left the salon.. the guy inside shortly came out and shouted at me?
I was very confused and had to walk back tell them what I had said twice - that I’d already paid.
I was already quite disappointed that it was a bad paint job but the accusation just made me upset.
So, overall: wrong (Cheaper) treatment, bad paint job and an accusation that I was making a run for it. Poor value for money and since the paint job wasn’t done decently, I will have to be spending (more) money to get it redone somewhere else.
I really love trying out local nail salons in the neighbourhood but this I Wouldn’t recommend to anyone and wouldn’t go back.
