I've been visiting Stephanie for over a year and she never lets me down. She helped me with my back pain during my pregnancy and she does now. She's the best!
When you first arrive at the address from the outside it is just a men's barber shop - it was quite disconcerting walking into a dozen male faces staring at you! The spa turned out to be a separate business two flights up - I'm quite fit but anyone with access or mobility problems would have no chance and this isn't clear on the website.
The massage itself was okay, my appointment was 30 minutes and it was efficient but not rushed. I had quite a few knots and at times it felt like a sports massage, which was not what I was expecting, but I don't know if that's because I was particularly tense or not! The masseuse was lovely and adjusted the pressure as needed, but I felt very bruised for two days afterwards (I Googled this and apparently it's normal but it's never happened to me with any other massages before).
I can't say I came away completely relaxed but again this might be completely down to how tense I was feeling with all the knots in my back.
The room itself was cosy but small, curtained off - if there were other people waiting I would have felt quite uncomfortable but there was no one else there.
