Amazed anyone was offering a wax this cheap, I ignored my friends’ words of warning and booked myself in. Urmi’s is in the side room of a Pilates studio so it’s a bit random and you can hear the class going on outside, but I’ve had worse experiences, so wasn’t too phased.
I’d booked a Hollywood and underarm as I’d let myself go a bit and was starting to resemble someone from a newly-discovered tribe you see in a National Geographic mag.
All-in-all, the entire experience was good. My hairs can be stubborn buggers but it wasn’t too painful and although I feel like I’m still finding bits of wax attached to me, it was decent. There were a few hairs I needed to tweeze afterwards, but she was very thorough and went over the areas several times without it being painful. I have to say, the added touch of having a fan blowing cool air up your cooch whilst lying on a glorified hospital bed was quite pleasant.
Ultimately, you get what you pay for, but I am satisfied and will probably go back because it’s fantastic value and handy to pop in on my lunch break.
Therapist Arti was very welcoming and paid extra attention to detail. She made sure I was comfortable and happy with the service throughout the treatment, which put me at ease. Will return soon!
I don’t think the wax was hot enough when my treatment initially started and it kept getting stuck and was painful to take off. 2 days after my wax a bruise appeared where my Hollywood wax was.
