The manager of USA Star Nails couldn't find one of my bookings which I had made through Wahanda the previous day and which I had paid in full in advance (£50 for a pedicure and a shellac manicure). After some back and forth, he did squeeze me in for my treatments but these were then rushed and not very thorough as it was quite busy. Although I showed him my booking confirmation and receipt he made me pay it all again, I hesitated, again because I had already paid, and he started to become loud and called me a liar. Overall, I was looking forward to a nice treatment after a stressful time and ended up havening an "ok" treatment, being shouted at, accused of lying and paying twice - ouch. I understand that there must have been some confusion about my booking but there was really no need to lose it with me without confirming with Wahanda first. Never again.
Overall a great manicure and pedicure.. The pedicure lasted longer than the manicure.. My fingernail unfortunately chipped after a week. They were beautifully neat
And staff very attentive.
The massage, especially on the feet, was very rough at times a little painful.
Unfortunately at the end, despite paying through wahanda, I was told I owed more. After some deliberating we agreed that wasn't really fair. I'm almost certain it's not the salon's fault but a little annoying when you go to relax!
The manicure was great and lasted a long time although in terms of experience, it felt quite rushed as the staff were so busy so you didn't get the feeling of being pampered. It also took quite a while to be seen despite booking in advance. Overall though, I would come back as the staff are very skilled at what they do.
