I booked in for a hifu treatment for face and neck with Jai. I was a bit reluctant when i found out that a male therapist would be treating me, but i was pleasantly suprised. He was so friendly and down to earth and made me feel at ease. He asked of my main areas of concern and guided me through the treatment, answering questions that i had in relation to the therapy, his training in the treatment and results. The Hifu was virtually painless, each section of my face and neck was treated with different sized heads so i could get maximum results on each area. At the end of the treatment i got off the couch i was gobsmacked, as the mirror never lies. I had a jawline again as i could definitely see some definition. My double neck was tighter and lifted too. The jowls that had started to appear on the lower regions of my face where much less noticeable. It has now been a few days since my treatment and every day my skin appears tighter and firmer. The wrinkles that appeared around my mouth when i smiled have virtually disappeared. An amazing treatment with Awesome results. I will definately be coming back!! Thank you Jai.
The treatment itself did what it was supposed to but all else was lacking. From the onset, it mentioned that the studio was under construction and that detracted from the ambience. She left the room a few times to answer phones and answer the door as she was the only one in. She also spent the entire time trying to sell me different packages, including one worth over £3k. I truly did not get more than a couple of seconds quiet without either her leaving the room or trying to recommend and sell me different treatments (and I consider myself to have fantastic skin so these recommendations were unnecessary upselling). The environment wasn’t relaxing and you could get a similar treatment elsewhere for cheaper. If you are looking and paying for a boutique experience, this isn’t the place.
So. I had an awful experience.
I arrived at the salon, and at the reception the lady insisted that I need to show her my voucher, despite explaining to her multiple times that I didn't book a voucher but an appointment, that my phone was dead and that as it's an appointment it should surely be in her system, as I don't actually have a voucher number. After a very strained conversation, she accepted my confirmation. I would have walked out there and then had I not prepaid my appointment already, with how unhelpful and unpleasant the staff is.
Next issue. So the appointment wasn't in their system, at all. And they didn't seem to give two damns that I was just as much their client at that moment as whoever they had double booked at the same time as me.
Anyway, the therapist agreed and was about to do the treatment (what was booked was 40 minutes of electrolysis. It was a 40 minute wait following that conversation as her client was supposed to arrive and she advised its absolutely impossible for her to do 40 minutes. Which okay fair enough isn't the other client's fault. But it is the salon's, and I have prepaid for 40 minutes of said treatment, and am just as much their client as the other person. Who isn't even there yet.
As she assures me that she isn't just trying to get rid of me, she tells me she is going to instead laser my face with some new laser and ushers me in super quickly into a treatment room, briefly tells me how this is a more expensive treatment, how it's actually better than what I booked bla bla bla (essentially trying to get rid of me as quickly as possible by doing a faster treatment). She super quickly goes through the safety warnings, and after asking her if I shouldn't have shaved the areas beforehand for laser, and if it's a problem that I have just come from a long holiday and my skin is very tanned (as I have had laser before and know the procedures), she advised this laser was better. I did some research after, and the treatment is a lot less effective when hair is shaved, and while safe on tan, it still would have been better not to be. Also, I should have not had antibiotics at least 6 weeks before, and I had just finished a course (as opposed to just not taking them at the moment of treatment) due to risk of burning. it is my face that was being treated after all.
So essentially not only did I waste my money, have an extremely unpleasant experience but also risked having burns on my face.
100% would not recommend. The salon looks great but is actually awful.
