I booked for a gel manicure treatment. I had another appointment after the treatment, so I arrived 20 mins early for my appointment, having been conscious of time.
The members of staff at the venue was not checking guests' bookings, and they were also accepting walk-ins as they came in without having clear plans of timing. For that reason, my treatment did not start for the booked time, and none of the staff seemed to care. I had to insist several times for my treatment to start. It eventually started 10 mins late, and the supposedly 45 mins treatment was cut short to 35 mins (17:30-18:15) because other customers started complaining for delays and as a result they rushed with mine.
During the treatment, I was horrified that they "borrowed" cuticle scissors that were lying on other table after they had used for other customer i.e. not sanitised. I was very nervous if the unsanitised scissors would scratch my skin.
I looked through salons in the area on the day, and the price for the salon's treatment is average (£30) for a private salon i.e. not like as part of famous hairdresser. The whole experience at the salon was worryingly horrifying. Truly hope to be able to discover more professional and responsible salon next time.
Really long wait, so had to have removal and paint separate days. Excellent removal and manicure, apart from polish colour which seriously chipped and flakes within hours across multiple hands.
The staff were very keen to please, but unfortunately the lasting memories were time spent waiting and the resultant chipped colour
