Quick, efficient waxing-highly recommended. Staff were lovely as always and very accommodating when something came up last minute and I had to change my appointment time.
I have lots of waxes done at different places and I've never been asked to wear a paper thong. It's just a bit ridiculous and pointless to have to wear one. I understand if you would like to wear one for yourself but I myself find it pointless. It was mostly annoying because the therapist was making me hold the thong for her which wasn't necessary in the first place, a Hollywood wax requires everything to be removed which means everything will be seen with or without a paper thong. I'd rather have tried to make the experience a little less painful for myself rather than hold onto a paper thong that was not doing anything. I just found it a bit silly when doing a Hollywood wax.
I've never experienced wax that was so hot. I have experienced wax that was a bit too hot but it never burnt like this. And the therapist just made out like I'm sensitive because she tried it out on her arm and it was fine. I genuinely found it way too hot and she didn't really do anything to cool it down.
The therapist also used the same stick to do the entire wax, double dipping the entire time which I do not like.
I think for the price of this Hollywood wax I would have expected it to be way better than it was. It is not worth the price considering how it was and the therapist wasn't very good, she didn't make me feel entirely comfortable when there were issues with how hot the wax was. She also wasn't precise about what she was doing, she'd go over the same area over and over and I found lots of stray hairs afterwards. She also didn't use a tweezer. I just think for £40 you'd expect a better experience. I've had waxes that cost waay less than this which were a thousand times better.
