I booked my appointment through treatwell as it was last minute on a Friday and aware this can be a busy day for a lot of salons. No complaint about the treatment and the girl who painted my nails was lovely. Got to point out that I was made to feel a bit foolish when I was paying (the amount advertised on treatwell) and the manager made a point of saying I was being charged more for the treatment as it was through Treatwell as they had to pay fees and it would have been cheaper if gone direct. Not really sure if she thought that was helpful. Just made me uncomfortable and less likely to go back. So 3 stars as the therapist was lovely and the treatment fine, customer service not so good.

Lovely member of staff. She took her time with the manicure as I have short finger nails.

I booked the Maternity joy package which included a manicure, pedicure, and facial . The time appointed for all treatments was 2 hour 30 min. 45 min each for the pedicure/manicure and 1 hour facial. The whole experience was terrible. 1. The manicure took 1 hr 15 min because the nail polish was clumpy and came on all thick so had to be removed and another brand picked. The therapist did apologise but shouldn’t have wasted time applying the colour to all nails to begin with. 2. I upgraded my pedicure to a gel pedicure and said I would pay the difference . The pedicure took place on the same manicurist seat with my feet being placed on a single paper towel on the floor followed by a soak in a foot tub and then dried with paper towels and placed back on a cold soaked floor. When I asked for my toe nails to be cut I was advised that there was no nail clipper and instead my toe nails were filed down. When they were too long to be filed. The pedicure took approx 50 min and ended with me asking for lotion to apply to my feet myself . I had given birth 2 weeks before so thankfully wasn’t pregnant otherwise I would never have been able to endure sitting on a manicure chair for 50 min lifting my feet up and down in a small cramped space. I was told that pedicures take place in a therapy room but the manager had booked it for another appointment. 3. When it came to the facial I was expecting to be relaxed for an hour as per the treatment description . My facial lasted 25 min and that’s all I can say of that. 4. When it came to paying the difference between a regular and gel pedicure I was told it was £5 and asked to pay by card. I was then advised by the manager that minimum amount for card payments was £10 . I then said I would go to the nearest atm which was a 1 min drive away at the co op and come back only to be told by the manager that “I would have to pay £10 on card “ So not only were all my treatments substandard but I was made to feel like a thief and ended up paying £5 more for complete nonsense. If I hadn’t have been postpartum and unable to drive long distance I would have ventured to my normal salon in Manchester. Will never ever come here again.
