On arrival staff at the counter were very friendly and got me booked in quickly and I was directed to a seating area to wait. It was very busy and I noticed that some clients had their stylist come over and chat to them, keep them updated about any wait and offer drinks, but not everybody... it seemed that it depended on which stylist you were booked in with.
When it was time for my hair cut I was shown downstairs and I explained to my stylist that I wanted quite a bit taken off as I hadn't had it cut for a while. I specifically said just above my shoulders with lots of short layers as it helps my hair to curl naturally. As she was cutting I could see/feel it was longer than I had asked for and I had to ask twice for it to be cut shorter. The first time I asked she continued to cut layers in and didn't go back to the length so I had to ask again and then she still didn't take enough off. Seemed reluctant to cut too much off but if she had checked the length with me as she was cutting (as I've experienced in many other salons) it would have avoided the issue. My end result is hair about 2 inches below my shoulders, some long layers on the sides and no/barely any layers at the back. It isn't what I asked for and it looks a bit odd if I'm honest and does nothing for my natural curls which is what I specifically pointed out to her.
When I booked the cut and finish it was listed as a student price at £22.50. When I went to pay I was told £30 and upon producing my student card was told £25. At this point I just wanted to get out of there so I just paid, only to be told that if you pay by card they don't give you a receipt, which I find really odd.
Overall I'm quite disappointed as I will need to go and get another cut now to sort out this one.
