I had to get up and ask for my partner and I to be served dinner. Apart from that it was alright. The view from the restaurant is absolutely stunning.
I didn't imagine there to be much in Dover so was really looking forward to hibernating in the hotel for a day. We got to the hotel and never received our arrival glass of champagne.
Our massage was pretty good but then again I have never had a massage before. I waited in the relaxation room for my partner whilst he had his massage and then we were hoping to make full use of the spa facilities. What spa facilities? Just a really old gym and a sauna room. We decided to go back to our rooms and then just wait for dinner.
Our rooms were okay, the floor was extremely uneven and squeaky! The bathroom smelt horrible and unclean.
The best thing about it was probably the dinner and the breakfast. Otherwise i probably wouldn't bother coming here ever again!!
Very squeaky floor and bed poor food menu selection so had to pay £40 extra for a different selection of food the massage was poor had a boiling hot towel on each of our backs at the end. The room was dusty and small. Breakfast was ok needed topping up. staff were rushing and clumsy. Did not enjoy the stay. Had to ask for the bubbly that we we're supposed to receive on arrival. The deal isn't worth the money the place needs work.
Rating 4 star as location was lovely and so was the breakfast and dinner which was included in deal.
Only downsides, room smelt of cleaning products and bath had either dirt/water marks. Also the receptionist on arrival was not very welcoming, a smile always helps!
