I chose this salon as they use Lycon wax which is a lot less painful than the usual hot wax. It's hard to find somewhere local that uses this wax so I was chuffed I'd found somewhere not too far away from home. The first wax was good but as I've been back, they've got worse and worse. On one occasion the therapist wouldn't use the wax and kept using tweezers which definitely made my eyes water! I had to tell her to stop and she refused to use use the wax so I left essentially 'half done'. I've now found another salon that uses Lycon wax in my local area so I won't be returning here. It's shame, they were so good first time around but the skills and manners of the therapists have really gone down hill. Also, if you do go - I hope you're not shy as the rooms are just curtained off. On one occasion I had to have a Brazilian wax with a man next door listening in and commenting on everything that was happening.... not the best experience!
Unfortunately I did not have the best experience here. I did not feel welcomed (no hello or offer of drink) or at ease (I was walked in on whilst changing twice!) and what i booked was argued less than 5 mins of me stepping in the door! Which i could prove with the Wahanda app of course, however it wasn't the best start. My deep tissue massage hurt and although I asked for less pressure, a language barrier prevented this being conveyed effectively! Nice hot towels though. My manicure did not set properly and i enjoyed half on nails for about a day... feeling like i could not return as the girl who did them was fairly rude. However I will say that my gel nails on my toes were fantastic. Excellent condition 3 weeks later.
Nice massage, but nothing special. The therapist was fine, but didn't tailor the massage to my needs at all. I booked the massage as I had an ache in my shoulder, but she didn't attend to this at all. The venue is clean, but nothing special. It would have been nice if the same song hadn't been on repeat for 45 mins!
The therapist was really friendly and polite from the very beginning. The pressure of the massage was too much for me, the therapist did ask if the pressure was too much but my reserved British nature politely said "no, it's fine" as I squirmed so that was entirely my own fault. I did feel ridiculously relaxed and tension free afterwards though so it was definitely worth it! £40 for a full hour is a great price.
This was a lovely massage! Very deep but not unpleasantly so. I feel great for it. And the massage therapist was very friendly too.
