Firstly, the actual treatment itself was fine.
But the overall experience was terrible and I definitely would never go back here. I arrived and it's basically a barbers with a giant trapdoor and staircase down to a 'beauty salon' - basically just two hodgepodged rooms. So right off the bat this was not a very relaxing beauty treatment. Then I tried to pay by card and they didn't have a card machine so I asked to be directed to the nearest cashpoint. I was told I couldn't leave unless I left something valuable behind like my phone or passport. I didn't feel comfortable doing this, especially for a treatment that cost £3.50 so I tried to call my boyfriend to bring me some cash but the signal was so bad I couldn't get though to him. In the end, they made me leave my phone with them to go and find a cashpoint and gave me terrible directions to one that turned out to be out of order. I then had to use one that charged to withdraw money so this ended up costing me just to pay.
It was a horrible experience, and the obvious overtones are 'we don't trust you and don't think you're coming back to pay' which is so far away from what I am used to with salons I have been to previously. The woman was very unfriendly and the experience was terrible. Especially as she had the audacity to give me a price list when I left as if I would ever want to go back.
Avoid like the plague.
