The nails are ok, but this was not what I would expect from a manicure — no soaking in warm water, no hand massage. And sat in silence for whole time. Removing cuticles with just oil on for 30 seconds is uncomfortable. And I didn’t get the therapist I booked through the app. When I queried this, the salon manager said it was a glitch in the app. I would have re-booked (as Jess is really excellent) but i was not advised until I got there. I won’t be re-booking.
I booked balayage but upon arrival I was told that I needed toner as well as root touch up on top so further charges would be added. I also needed a cut which I thought was included as the treatment was labelled “balayage full package including blow dry” so I had to pay another £150 on top of the £160 I pre paid so overall a very expensive trip to the salon. However, my hair looked stunning and I was more than happy. But next time I will book through the salon as the app is misleading
I think I had a lady named Rachel do my hair. She was lovely and made me feel right at ease. She listened to what I wanted and I loved the haircut, and what's more - so did my wife! The atmosphere in the place was really welcoming and everyone was chatting to each other, they all seemed to know one another which made for a really relaxed and fun atmosphere. This was my first time in Way Ahead, and as a local to Crystal palace, I will definitely being going here again!
