Great pedicure. Relaxed in a massage chair with a cup of coffee whilst having my feet scrubbed, filed and massage with a hot cloth and finished with polish.
Firstly, the ladies who work here all seemed really lovely. Genuinely, everyone I spoke to was polite and warm. That said, my experience (pedicure) was pretty poor. To start, they didn't have hot water in the pedicure bath, so they had to boil a kettle and pour it in. That worked for a bit, but of course went cool pretty quick. The ambiance is pretty terrible if you're looking for a relaxing experience... The pedicure station is right next to the hairdressing, so people yelling over hairdryers etc. Also, for a spa pedicure, I was left wanting. Hard skin removal, nail shaping, and a scrub and some lotion don't really scream 'spa' to me. The woman who did my pedicure also had very long (very strong) nails, which made the massage part quite uncomfortable. My toes are very sore from how far down the cuticles have been trimmed. They were also closing, and the whole experience felt very rushed. I don't often splurge on pedicures - they are a rare treat that I very much look forward to and I'm sad to have wasted my money on what proved to be a very unrelaxing, painful experience.
