The staff were professional and friendly, however the waxing therapist seemed a little hesitant which caused me some pain. I’m used to pain associated with waxing, however the hesitancy was uncomfortable for me. Aside from that, the overall experience was lovely.

Loved - indulgence treatment.
Loved - afternoon tea looked wonderful even though I was not well enough to eat a lot of it.
Surprised - amazing massage the beauty therapist actually managed to get rid of a nagging pain I had in my back following a gynae op which even the physio couldn't cure which was preventing me from exercising.
Surprised - venue was so small which you cant gauge from the website, so not a lot to do when you are not having treatments.
improvements - I nearly slipped in the shower in the therapy room as the plug was blocked so the base of the shower wasn't very clean.
improvements - don't pay for the afternoon tea to be included if you are not really hungry, I had not been well so struggled and when I asked if we could take it away they wouldn't let us and the package was a lot of money to include the afternoon tea.
The spa is quite basic and not much feel of luxury about it. The massage I had was fine but nothing special. There were no extra touches like hot towels of somewhere relaxing to sit after with water to drink. Just a small chair in reception area. This was a birthday treat for me and my feeling was one of disappointment rather than a special treat.

This was a most lovely day, and experience. The staff were just fabulous. Would definitely recommend it. Looking forward to another treatment in the near future.
