Absolutely loved the colour I got but I did not get the cut and blow I expected. it said it would take max 3 hours with two treatments. but on the 5th hour I was only just getting my 2nd treatment in and had not seen color or gotten a cut etc. I had to skip the last steps becuase I had a birthday thing I needed to go to and I was already 2 hours late.
Not sure if this experience is a reflection on Treatwell or WS studios - but 10 minutes before my appointment was due to take place I received a phone call from a female employee who said they could no longer accommodate me. No real apology or offer of compensation - just telling me they couldn’t fit me in. I thought it was appalling service with such short notice. In the end Pascal managed to fit me in - and he did a good job. But the way in which it was initially handled was awful.
Not greeted well. Place devoid of atmosphere. Styling requests not listened to at all and far, far shorter and completely different than I’d asked for. Had to fix my own hair into some semblance of a style with products Whilst IN the salon!! Went back two days later to ask for rectification. No one on reception so had to shout the reason for my visit over to only other staff member while he was washing a customer’s hair (!!) and my complaint was met with complacency. £65 lost. Never ever again.
The venue is lovely, small and relaxing. I showed Virginia photos of what I wanted her to do with my hair, and she was very good at listening to what I liked and making adjustments when I had requests or suggestions. I have Asian hair and she seemed to know how to deal with it differently (doesn’t blow dry as easily as European hair!). A bit pricey, but quite lovely service if you can afford it.
