Booked this for my brother - in - law who couldn't stop gushing about the therapist who knew exactly how to treat his shoulder and managed to release his neck which has been stiff and sore for weeks. He was much happier for his return flight back to Singapore. he was also given heat patches to help ease any subsequent stiffness. A very happy customer who has requested to return here next time he is back in the UK.
I didn't end up having a Lymphatic drainage massage, as I was offered an accupuncture and massage session instead. Having never tried this before, I didn't realise the massage would be so painful - it's taken over 2 days to recover! The original booking was a treat to myself after a rough couple of weeks at work. The staff are very thorough and friendly, but I feel they could have explained the consequences of me agreeing to change the type of massage. I guess others wouldn't have agreed to the change. I'm going back in a week (good sales techniques!) so hopefully it wouldn't be as painful. I will post again to advise if the accupuncture has been worth it!
Unfortunately I had a bad experience at Oriental Healthcare - firstly I was left alone in the room for 20 minutes under a really hot lamp on my back, I had to call for someone to come in and turn this 'heat lamp' off as it was starting to burn (not sure what the point of it was). When the massage eventually begun, the whole treatment was done with a blanket being laid on my back - the didn't make contact with my skin at any point which was quite uncomfortable/not relaxing at all, and it only lasted 25 minutes instead of 60. I have never left a bad review before but was really disappointed with my treatment, so wanted to warn others.-
