Danielle is originally from Minneapolis Minnesota. She enjoys cycling, music, camping, yoga, swimming and spending time with her daughter. Danielle Will occasionally be found surfing if the weather is nice. She also loves working in the outdoors and loves the festival vibes.
Danielle started her journey with bodywork in 2009 in Portland Oregon USA. She attended East West College of Healing Arts, attending the 500-hour massage program. The program was one of the best in the USA at the time, she did studies in Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology, and various massage techniques. Before the course was about to finish, Danielle was engaged to be married and moved to Cardiff in 2011.
Danielle has since studied at Bristol College of Massage and Bodywork. She graduated in 2012 with a level 4 diploma in Holistic Massage from the Massage Training Institute and completed a level 5 Remedial and Sports Massage diploma in 2018 (Massage Training Institute).
Danielle is always working on new skills to help her clients. She often goes back to America to train with the John F Barnes team, and has completed MFR 1, MFR 2 and Unwinding. Danielle has begun her training in visceral manipulation at the Barral Institute in spring 2022, completing VM1 and VM2 (abdomen 1 and 2). She aims to complete all 6 seminars and integrates this work with her myofascial release treatments.
Danielle can work with the mobility and motility of different organs, i.e. stomach, liver, gallbladder, duodenum, large intestines, small intestines. She varies the kind of work she does between corporate massage, private clients and festivals. Danielle specialises in injury recovery. Her massage treatments cater to each individual client’s needs. She treats the body as a whole using a variety of techniques, such as deep tissue massage, kneading, draining, compression, cross fibre friction, joint mobilization, simple lymphatic drainage and myofascial release. Danielle also integrates many advanced massage techniques into her work such as muscle energy technique (MET), soft tissue release(STR), positional release, trigger point therapy (TrP) and neuro-muscular technique (NMT).
Danielle works with her clients to come up with a plan suitable for their needs whether it be for needing help through injury recovery, times of change, to get through a pregnancy, to reduce stress and provide relaxation.
Danielle is currently over two-thirds of the way through her 500-hour yoga teacher training diploma with British Wheel of Yoga and is now offering classes at the Victorian Studio in Cardiff Bay.
