Hello, I'm based near Brighton. Yes, I agree with the other answers here. Depending on you scalp and hair, 40 vol could be used and your hair would need to be checked regularly. Any salon who is not confident might refuse to do it. I agree too that leaving your roots too long could cause slight different colouring. Where are you from ? I am in Guildford and can do it for you. I have a couple of ladies that have scalp bleach and I use 20, 30 and 40 volume depending on the hair.
If you let your roots get very big before bleaching it can look brighter closer to the scalp because of the natural body heat from the skin so its best to leave no longer then 5 or 6 weeks depending how quickly your hair grows.
I work for myself and can do evenings and weekends or daytimes.

A salon usually would never use 40 vol on a scalp bleach as it would probably burn your skin, they are more likely to use 30vol, leaving it on for the maximum Time of 40 mins and then put a toner on your hair after to make it a nice even blonde colour all over x any good salon should be able to do this x
