Are there any side effects or allergic reactions to IPL?

There is a chance of reactions happening when you have IPL, any place that does IPL you should always be patch tested first and the patch test should be left for 24 hours before having any treatment, also where ever you go you should be asked a series of medical questions aon a consultation form this will determine if any medication or medical form makes your skin photosensative. Though out the treatment you are asked to follow some aftercare advice that includes leaving you skin to breath for at least 24 hours after treatment, and also if you have a tan. These should be the only circumstances in which reactions occur.
