1 What treatments do you always book in for at the salon?
‘I absolutely swear by gels, as they always look so professional and clean and should last for at least 3 weeks if you go somewhere good.’ And when it comes to her hair? ‘I’m also a sucker for a blow dry and go at least once a week to my trusty Sassoon. I wish I had the time to go to Sassoon three times a week. I’m obsessed with how I feel when I get my hair done, it makes me feel like a total princess.’ We couldn’t agree more!

2 Any salon habits we should know about?
Salon habits – good or bad we all have them! ‘I always drink a cup of green tea and then grab my phone and do emails’ mused Em. ‘I love having a chat to the stylist but I really enjoy having that down time to focus on my work.’
-
3 What time do you usually book in?
‘My schedule is here, there and everywhere so I’m completely flexible with when I can book in,’ quipped Em; ‘I don’t really ever go to salons on weekends though and prefer to do it post-gym, mid-week and I always try to get it done on a Friday so my blow dry lasts all weekend!’
-
4 Most recent in-salon discovery?
‘Lee, my hair dresser introduced me to L’Incroyable blow dry, a great product that protects the hair for up to 48 hours! For someone who gets blowdries as much as I do, it’s the perfect product to keep my hair shiny and strong and protected from the heat I throw at it.’

5 What’s your favourite thing about taking time out for a beauty treatment/hair appointment?
‘Definitely my blow dries! I am a serious blow dry addict’ Em admitted; ‘it has to be that feeling you get after – once you experience that bouncy fresh feeling from a really good blow dry, it can get addictive! I feel so pampered after and so much more confidence.’

6 How do you ensure you’re prepped for summer when it comes to your beauty routine?
‘To ensure my hair, face and body are all prepped for summer I make sure I pre plan’ explained Em; ‘that means, booking in for my beauty treatments beforehand, but in good enough time so my treatments will last whilst I’m abroad. I get my gels, brows and hair done at least a few days before I fly. I moisturise lots before I go away too, to make sure my skin is soft.’ You hear that ladies? Being organised really can pay off!

7 Any time-saving tips on how to stay cool and stress-free as you transition into summer?
Staying on top of your beauty routine can get stressful as the weather heats up, and the idea of summer beauty prep can send even the most sensible of us into overdrive, but as Em explained, it doesn’t have to be that way: ‘On top of doing my best to pre plan my beauty treatments, I always carry a cooling water in my handbag so I can spritz it on myself throughout the day, it means I’m always cool and refreshed no matter where I am.’

8 Tell us about your pre holiday beauty check-list!
‘If you’re going abroad, it’s good to get your brows and lashes tinted so you can hang around with no makeup on but still feel groomed,’ explained Em; ‘it keeps you looking fresh and awake without having to worry about your mascara running when you jump in the pool! And it also saves time in your morning routine. You can also go a step further and get lash extensions too!’

9 How do you kick back and relax come summertime?
‘I absolutely love sitting in the pool, running in the sea or simply kicking back and reading a book!’ Em explained; ‘I never get the time to read books or even flick through magazines and that seriously relaxes me.’

10 And finally, what’s in your makeup bag?
‘I love Charlotte Tilbury with her sheet mask, it’s an amazing product to plump the skin. I also love Welleco lip balm, to keep dry lips at bay this summer. You can’t beat Clarins and their whole summer range, at the moment I’m in love with their eye palettes. I’m loving warm, orange colours right now. I’m also pretty obsessed with Guerlain’s bronzing range – they’re the best when it comes to a tan. And I couldn’t not include Kiehl’s; their cactus spray is the ultimate skin cooler for travelling and hot summer days!’
