1 The HD Brow Doctor
‘I wanted to go for a treatment that would give me bags of confidence when it came to my no-makeup days. I started off my journey getting the classic HD brow. A treatment that combines tinting, threading, waxing, tweezing and finished with a touch of makeup. There are tons of extremely good value locations around town, but my favourite is Nirvana Aesthetics, or as she’s known by many as, “The Brow Doctor”. Walking out with fluffy sharp eyebrows that complemented my face shape, hit the next level of confidence. The Brow Doctor puts great care and consideration into your consultation, listening to exactly how I'd like them to be. In my opinion one brow shape doesn’t suit all. However the Brow Doctor or – as I’ll refer to her – the miracle worker, left my eyebrows looking their most striking.'

2 Ditch tattoos for microbladed eyebrows
'Knowing her talents stretched to microblading, I took the plunge in a radical permanent treatment. So microblading lasts between 12-18 months but gives you insta-ready eyebrows every time you wake up. I swear by microblading, knowing that it balances out my face, and stays permanently even. I brush my brows, and off I can pop out the door, it’s that simple and saves a lot of precious time in the morning saved for beauty sleep. Kudos to the Brow Doctor. Different than tattooing eyebrows, the fine needle doesn’t go as deep into the skin, and therefore gives a natural appearance, with each stroke drawn on like individual hairs. It gave my eyebrows a full, even and symmetrical appearance which worked wonders for my day-to-day confidence.'

3 The natural lash lift
'Other hot treatments in Liverpool include LVL lashes which are perfect for a natural boost – most of my beauty friends book in for this treatment prior to a holiday as it’s like wearing mascara all the time. In my experience LVL lashes last 9-10 weeks. It depends on how quickly your eyelashes shed, but the standard fall-out rate is usually between 6-8 weeks. The treatment involves straightening the natural eyelashes at the root, it also includes a lash tint so they’re more noticeable and striking. I went to The Gold Room for my lashes, which gave me an immediate difference, even when I applied eye makeup around the area.

4 Where to find the best Russian lashes
'One treatment which is a must-try for special occasions is the Russian semi-permanent lashes which I tried in CJ in The City. They’ve been with me throughout festival season, exposed to all the elements, and are still in tact. They’re a more extreme and glamorous alternative to LVL lashes as they’re instantly more noticeable, longer, fuller and don’t require tinting. Once again the fall-out rate is dependent on your natural lash cycle, but give long and lasting results.'
