1 Showstopping nail art
As seen at: Official Libertine
Nail art reached dizzying new heights on the Official Libertine runway this season. Wearable? Perhaps not, but dazzlingly beautiful to look at? Absolutely. Combining golden metal tassels with feathers, pom poms and some seriously intricate nail art, we predict a paired down version of these showstopping nails to be a big hit in the nail industry this year. We can't wait.

2 Slouchy ponies
As seen at: Tory Burch
Slouchy ponies were the call of the day at Tory Burch this season. Sleek, simple and totally easy to pull off, these low slung ‘do’s were held together with oversized black velvet pussy bows, and parted immaculately down the middle. It’s a posh meets preppy look, and we can’t get enough of it.

3 Kendall's bob
As seen at: La Perla
Hold the front page, Kendall Jenner has officially had the chop and it’s all everyone seems to be talking about this week. Showcased at the La Perla Show, Kendall’s new chin length cut is the shortest we’ve ever seen the model go, and although it’s not super short, it’s still significant enough to trick at least a couple of paparazzi into mistaking her for her wig-loving sister Kylie, as Kendall explained on her app this week. Awks!

4 Bleached buzzcuts
As seen on: the streets of NYC
Kanye West wasn’t the only one to get a hair makeover just in time for fashion week. From the cool kids stalking the streets outside of the shows to model of the moment Adwoa Aboah, it seems that 2017 is the year of the bleached buzzcut. Get excited.

5 Pink hair
As seen on: the frow
Another hair shade that made a serious comeback this season was pink. From dusty hues to electric fuchsias, this feminine colour update proved a popular choice for several members of the frow, and we spotted many a model and street style star dashing between shows rocking this edgy colour with confidence. Where do we sign up?

6 Electric eyeshadow
As seen at: Prabal Gurung, Anna Sui, The Blonds, Brandon Maxwell
There was no shying away from bold colour when it came to eyeshadow this season. From Pat Mcgrath’s electric blue shades at Anna Sui, to the graphic greens and oranges at Prabal Gurung and exaggerated smoky eyes at Brandon Maxwell – it was go big or go home and we're totally on board.
-
7 Choppy gothy hair
As seen at: Alexander Wang
Hair got a good dose of goth on the Alexander Wang runway this season. Channeling what he described as the ‘nocturnal party girl’, each model’s hair was given a slightly different spin. From shaggy curls with fringes falling into the eyes, to tousled ‘slept in’ bobs – natural texture took centre stage, with seriously dreamy results.

8 Dark berry lips
As seen at: Alice + Olivia, Anna Sui, Jenny Packham
A perfect companion to the electric eyeshadow trend, this season many designers teamed their smokey eyes with dark, sultry lips to match. From raspberry shades at Jenny Packham to purply hues at Alice + Olivia and redder than red lips at Anna Sui, this classic colour is clearly staying firmly put for the rest of 2017.
-
9 Afro hair
As seen at: Brandon Maxwell
It was all about the natural afro hair at Brandon Maxwell’s F/W17 show this week. From bouncing 'fros to cascading curls, different lengths and textures were fully embraced, with ringlets of all shapes and sizes making their way down the runway.

10 Halo braids
As seen at: Alice + Olivia
Described as a romantic interpretation of the Italian Renaissance, the dreamy halo braids seen at Alice + Olivia this season were enough to have us running to our local braid bar to copy this enchanting look. We can’t wait to rock it!
-
11 Kim's extensions
As seen on: Kim Kardashian
The Pocahontas-esque hair extensions Kim Kardashian has been wearing recently were out in full force during NYFW, and we’d be lying if we said we weren’t just a bit jealous of them. Waist long and insanely glossy, we’re hedging our bets that these bone straight extensions will be on everyone’s wish list come Autumn. Swoon.

12 No makeup makeup
As seen at: Victoria Beckham, Michael Kors, Lacoste
On the other end of the spectrum there were also plenty of designers this season that paired back their looks completely, ditching the heavy glam for flawless natural skin and minimal makeup instead. Cue glowing complexions and bright eyes at Victoria Beckham and Lacoste.

13 Bold sweeping brows
As seen at: Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors
We couldn’t get through a fashion week beauty roundup without at least one or two honorable brow mentions. From the sweeping brows at Tommy Hilfiger to the perfectly formed brows at Michael Kors, big and bold is still very much taking a front seat this season, and with the perfectly formed, naturally shaped arches of these models backstage, we can see why.
