Yes, spas are for relaxing – soothing facials, restorative massage, tip-top manicures – but in 2018, did you even go somewhere if you didn’t ‘gram it? If the venue has panoramic views, plants galore, or rose gold anything, you can bet your bottom dollar I’ll be reaping in the likes with a few snaps between steam room trips. These are some of the best-looking spas in the UK, to get your soul feeling great, and your Insta feed looking better.

1 Blue Harbour Health Club and Spa, Chelsea
Best for: #nofilter views
Two words. River Taxi. Imagine the shots you could steal of the River Thames while being carried by boat to Blue Harbour Spa? This one’s a treat for the eyes before you even reach the afternoon tea (my usual priority). This place coined the phrase ‘sprunch’, that’s spa and brunch combined, so you can be sure it’s an insta lovers dream. The panoramic views of London are pretty swish too.
Bonus. We're giving away a spa break for two at this dreamy venue. Enter right here.

2 Hoar Cross Hall, Staffordshire
Best for: the foodies
The majority of Hoar Cross Spa packages include a three course meal, or an anti-pasti platter. Has this influenced my decision to discuss it? Yes. Absolutely, yes. Nothing says ‘retreat’ like a birds eye shot of your dinner plate, but the spa itself is pretty dreamy too, with contemporary treatment rooms and stately home surroundings. The pool area is set within converted stables. Cosy and cool.

3 The Spa at the Mere Golf Resort and Spa, Knutsford
Best for: ‘how's your Monday?’ snaps
Go on, book this one for a Monday. Sit smugly in the Cheshire-based spa at the Mere Golf Resort and Spa, robe and all. It’s located around half an hour from Manchester, so you can charge up that phone while you travel, and be unwinding in no time. It’s good to escape from the city now and then – in fact, a burst of nature can help with de-stressing and staying motivated. Extend your weekend, take a lazy dip in the pool and feel instantly refreshed. Then get those pictures uploaded.

4 The Spa at the Macdonald Old England Hotel, Cumbria
Best for: heading out the city
Ah, the lake district. Nothing says retreat like a break to the outdoor destination (it’s England’s largest National Park). Try camping. Breathe in the fresh air. Take a hike to shake off the city stresses. Embrace the digital detox. Then end your weekend with a trip to the Macdonald Old England Hotel and get back to Snapchatting everything in sight. From your massage, to your mani, and all those rolling hills, you’re going to want to document these views.

5 Landmark London Spa and Health Club
Best for: the minimalists
Palm trees and Instagram: name a more iconic duo. The palm tree courtyard at the Landmark is a visual feast, and the food is mighty fine too (choose the afternoon tea between your treatments). There’s also a self-playing piano on the first floor. Need I say more? It’s a five-star venue, based in the centre of London, and has a wide range of treatments available (including male-specific).
