Has anyone else felt the inexplicable urge to cover themselves in sequins, glitter, and all things sparkly this year? Because same. Turns out – the fashion weeks of AW21 called it early – Out Out is back (in terms of beauty and fashion, at least) – which means the return of full-on glam – hoorah! And let’s be honest, a little dose of sparkle and joy is *exactly* what we need right now.
We’ve already seen this reflected in our hair and makeup – so it makes sense that the biggest nail trend of the season would follow suit. Cue: reflective glitter.
Reflective glitter nails, sometimes known as holographic nails – have been all over our Insta feeds lately (thanks to brands such as The Gel Bottle and Brillbird). And honestly? It’s pretty darn jaw-dropping, if you ask us. In the daylight, it looks similar to the regular nail glitter that we know and love. Under certain lights though (a phone torch or camera flash, for example) – something a bit spesh happens. The particles in the glitter reflect the light to reveal a diamond-esque sparkle – kind of like if you took your most glittery sequined dress, and multiplied it by a thousand.
